Substitution treatments

The treatment protocol by methadone includes:

• Reception
• On site distribution
• somatic, psychiatric and social supports

Drug addicted users:

• Dependant on opiates, eager to receive a substitute treatment in a structured environment.
• Drug addicted pregnant women
• Drug addicted users released from prison.

Daily distribution (except weekends and holidays) of methadone with medical prescription.

The admission is accepted after an appointment with the prescribing physician. The treatment combines prescription and distribution of methadone, weekly psychiatric consultations, urinary controls, nursing and social follow-up in collaboration with existing structures.

A medical and/or psychiatric follow-up is systematically suggested. Once the patient is stabilized, we can consider transferring the prescription responsibility to a general practitioner.

In that case: distribution of buprenorphine. Controlled substitute in an institutional environment according to the terms of the Methadone program.
Program suited for drug addicted users unable to properly receive a substitute treatment by buprenorphine for social or psychological reasons.
